Old Man Emu 4010 front coil springs for the Toyota LandCruiser 200 Wagon (up to 2021). The option is intended for a vehicle with a fully equipped front end: steel bull bar, winch and accessories. The OME chart confirms this part number both for KDSS and for non-KDSS versions. The importer states the spring is intended for use only with OME MT64 or Nitrocharger Plus shock absorbers.

OME 4010 front coil springs - Toyota LandCruiser 200

The spring decides the ride height of the vehicle and how the suspension copes with load – the shock only controls how the spring moves. Old Man Emu designs its springs together with its shocks, in several load options per axle, and it is the choice of option rather than the brand alone that decides the result. A spring matched to the real, everyday weight of the vehicle holds the intended ride height, keeps the full suspension travel and does not run on the bump stops.

Key features

  • Designed as part of the Old Man Emu system – together with OME shock absorbers
  • Several load options per axle – matched to the real weight of the vehicle, not to a catalogue
  • The lift comes from the spring itself, not from packers or spacers
  • Works through the full suspension travel instead of hitting the bump stops under load

Fitment

The Old Man Emu suspension application chart confirms part number 4010 for the Toyota LandCruiser 200 (up to 2021), front axle, in V8 diesel and V8 petrol versions, with and without the KDSS system, in kits built around Nitrocharger Plus and MT64 shocks. The estimated front lift depends on the engine: about 25 mm for the V8 diesel and about 50 mm for the V8 petrol – the difference comes from the weight of the engine.

Installation notes

Springs are always replaced in pairs, on one axle at a time. Front struts require a spring compressor or a press – this is workshop work. After fitting, the vehicle needs a wheel alignment check, and on many models also a check of driveshaft angles and brake lines. A suspension lift has to be declared in the vehicle documents in accordance with local regulations.

Frequently asked questions

Are the springs sold as a pair?

The price refers to the importer's catalogue item. Before you order we confirm whether this part number is an axle set or a single spring – get in touch before placing the order.

Do I need new shock absorbers with these springs?

A spring with a different rate and a greater free length needs a shock with matching travel. A factory shock on a lifted vehicle works at full extension and does not last. We will match OME shocks to this spring.

How do I choose the load option?

What matters is what the vehicle carries permanently: a steel bar, a winch, a roof rack, a canopy, an auxiliary tank. Send us your configuration and we will point to the right part number.

Send us the model, year, engine and a list of the permanently fitted accessories – we will check the choice in the Old Man Emu chart and complete the whole suspension: springs, shocks, bushes and hardware.
