OME OMEAB003 air bag kit - LandCruiser 79 / 78 parabolic springs

Old Man Emu air bags for parabolic leaf springs do one thing, and they do it well: they take the variable load, the weight you add for a particular trip rather than carry every day. The spring handles the permanent weight. The new design with an internal hydraulic bump stop lets you drive with the bag empty and inflate it only when the vehicle is loaded – even at 4 psi with no extra load the difference in comfort is noticeable.

Fitment

The importer lists this kit specifically for the PB007R, PB008R, PB009R and PB010R parabolic leaf springs, that is for the Toyota LandCruiser 79 and 78. The mounting brackets supplied are matched to a specific vehicle, so the kit cannot be moved between models.

Part number OMEAB003 does not appear in the Old Man Emu suspension application chart available to us – for the 70-series LandCruiser the chart lists a different air bag kit number. Before dispatch we confirm availability and fitment to your vehicle and to your spring part number with the supplier.

Installation notes

The kit is fitted together with the parabolic leaf springs, with the vehicle on a hoist and the axle supported. Route the air lines away from heat sources – an exhaust heat shield is included. Pressure is set for the current load: empty is 0 psi, the maximum is 45 psi. If you want to control pressure from the cab or from a phone, add the ARB LINX controller.
