REDARC BCDC Alpha100 R - 100 A DC battery manager
The REDARC BCDC Alpha100 R is a 12 V power management system with 100 A of charging current, built on the BCDC Alpha platform. It combines start battery charging, input current limiting, RedVision connectivity and a built-in smart battery monitor in one unit. State of charge, remaining run time and charger performance are read on a smartphone.
REDARC BCDC Alpha100 R DC battery manager
A classic DC-DC charger does one thing: it moves current from the alternator to the auxiliary battery. The Alpha platform goes further – it picks the charge profile and current in real time, limits input current so the alternator is not overloaded, and can charge the start battery the other way round. The Alpha100 R is the newest model in the BCDC Alpha R series, launched after the Alpha50 R.
