Nine centimetres per side is not cosmetics — this is a kit for a Hilux standing on distinctly wider wheels, with tyre sitting well outside the factory outline. The flares cover what protrudes and keep mud and stones at the arch.
The supplier states 3 mm ABS with a UV additive, fine-textured matt black, shaped in CAD. At the body joint a rubber seal is used instead of 3M tape, which is safer for the paint when the flares later come off.

It also says nothing about arch-mounted parking sensors. Note one discrepancy: the description mentions a riveted finish, while the listing photo shows smooth flares with no rivets — we are clarifying this with the distributor. Widening a vehicle by 9 cm per side is a registration matter in Poland, and the supplier declares no approval document.
