Front Grille, ABS, with LED Lighting - Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU 2007-2017

A front grille for the Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU, 2007-2017, with built-in LED lighting. The supplier states it is made from very tough ABS, matt black, and prepared for painting in a body colour.

The photo shows a heavily sculpted shape with angles drawn out above the headlight openings, vertical ribs with mesh behind them and a row of amber LED elements across the top of the opening. Round indicator cut-outs sit below the headlights. What function the LEDs serve, the supplier does not describe.

Fitting and notes

The key point concerns the lighting: the supplier states no E or ECE type approval for the LEDs in this grille, and does not define their function or how they connect. That has to be settled before registration or a roadworthiness test - write to us and we will ask the supplier. Fitting of the grille itself is not described either, so it is unknown whether clips and a loom are included. The 10 kg figure on the listing is the distributor's shipping weight, not the weight of the grille.

Frequently asked questions

What do the LEDs do?

The supplier does not say. In the photo they glow amber, which would suggest a position light or indicator, but it makes no such declaration.

Do the LEDs carry type approval?

The supplier states no E or ECE approval at all. It has to be settled before a roadworthiness test - ask us before buying.

Can the grille be painted?

Yes. The supplier states it is prepared for painting in a body colour.
