The lower edges of an off-roader's doors take stone chips from their own wheels, scrape past bushes on forest tracks and collect scratches in car parks. Mouldings take that damage instead — replacing a moulding is cheaper and quicker than repainting a door.
The supplier states they are made of UV-resistant plastic and lists three applications: the Wrangler JLU from 2018, the Wrangler JLU 4xe and the Gladiator JT.
