Fitting and notes
The supplier only states that the cover is bonded on and needs no drilling. It does not say whether mounting tape is included, nor what the part is made of. Degrease the bonnet before bonding and work above freezing — that is the condition for the cover to stay put for years.
This is the more expensive of the two T2 bonnet covers the supplier lists. It is distinguished from the cheaper one by two louvred side vents instead of a single mesh inlet.
Frequently asked questions
Are the vents open through to the engine bay?
The supplier does not say. Until confirmed, treat the cover as a styling part rather than a ventilation part.
Does the bonnet have to be drilled?
No. According to the supplier the cover is bonded to the bonnet.
How does it differ from the cheaper T2 bonnet cover?
The supplier's wording for both is identical. In the photos this version has two louvred side vents, the cheaper one a single mesh inlet.
