Tailgate Cover — Volkswagen Amarok 2022+

The Amarok's tailgate is a large flat surface that collects scratches faster than the rest of the truck in daily work. This cover takes its central section and breaks up the monotony of the rear at the same time — in the photo it has a textured, stippled surface in the middle and a cut-out for the factory VW badge, while the embossed AMAROK lettering stays visible underneath in body colour.

The supplier assigns it to the Amarok from 2022, that is the current generation.

Fitting and notes

The supplier claims quick and easy fitting but does not describe how the part holds to the tailgate — no mention of tape, clips or screws. That is the first question to ask the seller.

Wash and degrease the tailgate before fitting. Unlike the Ranger and Hilux covers from the same family, the supplier mentions neither an upper spoiler nor a camera cut-out here — if your Amarok has a reversing camera in the tailgate, confirm this before buying.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a reversing camera cut-out?

The supplier does not state one for this reference. Confirm with the seller before buying.

Does the cover take the whole tailgate?

In the photo, no — it covers the central band, while the AMAROK lettering and the lower part stay in body colour.

Does it fit an older Amarok?

No. The supplier lists model years 2022 and newer only. The previous generation has a different tailgate.
