A roof headliner for the Jeep Wrangler JLU, model years 2018-2024, in light grey with an alcantara-look material. It damps the interior and covers the bare metal of the hard top. Mounted on upholstery pins screwed into bases that are bonded to the roof — both are included in the set.

TopFire Headliner Jeep Wrangler JLU 2018-2024 — Light Grey, Alcantara-Look

The hard top on a JLU is a bare shell from the inside — it drums on the motorway, resonates with a window down, and no floor mat will quiet it. This headliner closes that off from above: it covers the metal, damps the noise and turns the interior from workshop into finished.

The supplier specifies a light grey colour and a material that imitates alcantara. Beyond the damping it simply looks better than a bare roof — especially in a vehicle you spend all day in.

Fitting and notes

Fitting has two stages: the bases are bonded to the roof first, then the upholstery pins that hold the headliner are screwed into them. The supplier does not say what adhesive is used on the bases or how many panels the set contains — the photo shows two shaped pieces. Nor does it state whether the set covers the Freedom panels and the section above the boot, or whether the headliner is for the hard top only rather than the soft top as well. Worth settling before ordering, as it decides the scope of the work.

Frequently asked questions

Does it require drilling into the roof?

No. The supplier describes bases bonded to the roof, into which the upholstery pins are screwed.

Does it fit a two-door JL?

The supplier lists the JLU only, that is the four-door body.

Does it actually quiet the cabin?

The supplier claims a damping effect but gives no attenuation figures and no material thickness.
