LED auxiliary light Purelux Panther 9 23 cm 210 W Ref. 25
A round 23 cm LED auxiliary light with 720 m of reach at 1 lux in PowerBoost mode and 387 m in the approved mode. A measured 12 314 lm, 9-36 V supply, IP69K sealing and a DTP-2 connector. ECE R10, R148, R149 and R65 warning-light approval, reference number 25. 36-month manufacturer warranty.
Purelux Panther 9 — LED auxiliary light, 23 cm, 210 W, Ref. 25
A round lamp that throws a measured 720 metres of light in PowerBoost mode and works as an approved driving lamp with reference number 25 in road mode. The maker also lists R65 approval, so it may be used as an approved warning light.
Purelux publishes four measured power levels for the Panther 9 rather than one catalogue figure. You know what the lamp actually draws in every mode, so you can size the wiring without guessing.

PowerBoost mode 12 314 lm / 720 m | Approved mode 3 872 lm / 387 m | Approvals ECE R10, R148, R149, R65 |
Key benefits
- 720 m reach at 1 lux in PowerBoost, and 1 418 m at 0.25 lux. Road mode gives 387 m and 774 m respectively.
- Four measured power levels - 195 W, 43 W, 14.7 W and 4.1 W. Current draw at 24 V is 8.125 A, 1.79 A and 0.61 A, so cable sizing rests on figures, not claims.
- R65 approval - stated by the manufacturer, meaning the lamp is approved as a warning light. R148 and R149 cover the driving and position light functions, R10 the electromagnetic compatibility.
- 9-36 V supply - a wider range than the usual 12/24 V lamp, with headroom for a 28 V alternator system.
- IP69K - high-pressure, high-temperature washing, not just rain resistance.
- 5 000 K declared and 5 019 K measured - closer to daylight than to cold blue.
- DTP-2 connector with roughly 100 cm of cable, enough to route the loom without an extension.
- 36-month manufacturer warranty.
Operating modes - measured values
| Parameter | PowerBoost | Approved mode |
| Luminous flux (measured) | 12 314 lm | 3 872 lm |
| Measured power @ 24 V | 195 W | 43 W |
| Current draw @ 24 V | 8.125 A | 1.79 A |
| Reach @ 1 lux | 720 m | 387 m |
| Reach @ 0.25 lux | 1 418 m | 774 m |
The manufacturer also lists two lower power levels - 14.7 W and 4.1 W, with 0.61 A at 24 V for the 14.7 W level.
Before you order
The manufacturer's own material quotes the PowerBoost reach at 1 lux in two different ways: 720 m in the data table and 709 m in the descriptive text. We publish both, because we do not settle it on the maker's behalf. The gap is about 1.5 percent and does not change the class of the lamp, but you should know the source is not consistent here.

Who it is for
For 4x4s, pickups and off-road builds where axial reach matters more than wide spill. At 23 cm across and with a foot mount it suits a bull bar, a roof bar or a bumper bracket. Reference number 25 means the road mode is an approved driving lamp, so when choosing how many lamps to fit, remember the permitted total of reference numbers for the vehicle. The R65 approval opens additional service uses. Selection, fitting and aiming are jobs our workshop in Warsaw does routinely.
Why it is worth it
- Over 700 m of reach from a lamp 23 cm across.
- Four measured power levels, so the wiring maths is easy.
- R65 among the approvals, which most driving lamps do not carry.

Frequently asked questions
Is the lamp road approved?
Yes. The manufacturer lists ECE R148 and R149 plus R10 and reference number 25. It separately lists R65 approval for warning light use.
How many real lumens does the Panther 9 give?
By the maker's measurement, 12 314 lm in PowerBoost and 3 872 lm in the approved mode. The 210 W calculated rating corresponds to 195 W measured.
Does it work on a 24 V system?
Yes, the supply range is 9-36 V DC.
How long is the cable and what connector does it use?
About 100 cm, with a DTP-2 connector.
What is the warranty?
The manufacturer states 36 months.
