Purelux Magnetic Cable Tie Mount 22 mm, for Ties up to 8 mm
The lead from a roof-mounted light usually ends up taped to a pillar. This base does it differently: a strong magnet holds it on any steel surface, and the fork takes a cable tie up to 8 mm wide. You route the harness where you want it and move it whenever you like - no glue, no tape, no drilling.
Purelux Magnetic Cable Tie Mount 22 mm, for Ties up to 8 mm
A roof light goes on in half an hour. What is left is the lead that has to reach the cab - and that is exactly where most installations end in insulating tape on a pillar or a loose loop chafing on a door edge.
A magnetic cable tie base solves that in two seconds. The strong magnet underneath holds it on any steel surface, and the 15 mm fork takes a cable tie up to 8 mm wide. The cable runs where it should, and you can change the route at any time - no glue, no tape, no holes in the panel.

Key benefits
- Fitted without a trace - a magnet instead of glue, tape and holes. Lift the mount off and nothing is left on the panel.
- The harness stays controlled - leads from roof lights run inside neatly, with no hanging loops chafing on an edge.
- Ties up to 8 mm - standard cable ties fit, including the wider ones for thicker bundles.
- Moved in seconds - changing the cable route means no unsticking and no fresh holes.
- Not only for vehicles - the manufacturer also lists LED strips on scaffolding and cable runs along hall structures.

How to use it
Set the base on a clean steel surface - roof, frame, pillar, bed side. Pass a cable tie through the fork and pull the harness in. Running a lead from the roof into the cab usually takes two or three bases spaced a few dozen centimetres apart, so the cable neither sags nor chafes on an edge.
Away from vehicles it suits any steel structure: LED strips on scaffolding, cable runs along a hall wall or ceiling.
Before you order
The magnet only holds on steel. On an aluminium panel, plastic or glass it will not stay put.
Keep it away from electronics. The manufacturer advises against mounting close to critical vehicle electrics - control units, modules and sensors. The magnet really is strong.
The box holds one base and no tie - you supply the ties.
Why it is worth it
- No more insulating tape on a pillar and no loose cable rubbing on an edge.
- No marks on paint or panel - lift it off and nothing shows.
- The cable route changes in seconds, with no tools.
Frequently asked questions
Is a cable tie included?
No. The box holds one mount - you supply the ties, up to 8 mm wide.
What surface does it stick to?
Steel. On aluminium, plastic or glass the magnet will not hold - there you need an adhesive or screw-on mount.
Can it go near control units and sensors?
The manufacturer advises against it. The magnet is strong, so keep the mounts away from critical vehicle electronics - control units, modules and sensors.
How many do I need for one light?
It depends on the length of the harness. Running a lead from the roof into the cab usually takes two or three mounts, spaced a few dozen centimetres apart, to stop the cable sagging.
Is there a larger version?
Yes, the manufacturer also offers a 31 mm base. If you need a stronger hold for a thicker harness, get in touch - we can order it in.
