Will it fit a compressor with a 1/4 NPT coupler?

The adapter has a male 1/4 NPT thread, so it screws into female 1/4 NPT hardware. Check what port your compressor uses before buying.

Is this the same as the cover-nut version?

No. The cover-nut version is a separate APEX part number. This one is the female 3/8 swivel to male 1/4 NPT adapter, part X02-11-005.

Is a seal included?
