An APEX High Flow Push On Chuck with a 1/4 NPT female port. It opens the Schrader valve 100% instead of the usual 50%, so inflation is quicker. It ships in closed-flow configuration with an open-flow adapter included. Hard anodised aluminium body with hardened stainless steel retention components.

The same chuck as the 3/8 hose version, but with a 1/4 NPT thread.
So it screws into hardware you already own: a compressor, a gauge, a reel - with no rebuild of the whole system.

What is the difference between closed flow and open flow?
They are two working modes, and the manufacturer sets out what each is for. Open flow: gauges and inflators, plus small compressors and hand pumps where the chuck attaches directly to the pump. Closed flow: a hose reel, a compressor with a tank, and multi tire systems. Both adapters are included and the chuck leaves the factory in closed flow.
