Bushings Ironman 4x4 — Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Discovery (1145SK)

Worn bushings mean knocking over bumps, vague steering and shock absorbers that die early. It is a cheap part that can change how a car drives more than new springs would.

Fitting and notes

Bushings are pressed in — knocking them out with a hammer ruins the arm eye. We do this in Warsaw, usually together with a suspension inspection.

Frequently asked questions

Polyurethane or rubber?
Polyurethane lasts longer and is stiffer, rubber is quieter and more comfortable. On an off-road car polyurethane usually wins on durability.

Replace them in pairs?
Yes — a new bushing next to a worn one works unevenly and wears out faster.
