Frequently asked questions

What does the quoted load mean?

It is the constant axle load the spring or shock absorber was designed for – permanently fitted equipment such as a bull bar, a winch or drawers, not occasional luggage. Pick the wrong rating and the car will either ride harshly or sag.

Is the quoted lift guaranteed?

No. It is the manufacturer estimate for a standard vehicle. The real figure depends on what is already fitted to the car.

Do parts have to be replaced in pairs?

Springs and shock absorbers are fitted in pairs per axle. Replacing one side only gives a lean and uneven suspension travel.

Not sure which load rating to pick? Tell us what is permanently fitted to the vehicle – bull bar, winch, drawers, long range tank – and we will match the right variant from the catalogue.
