The MT64 name stands for a monotube design with a 64 mm internal bore.

The MT64 has six machined grooves on the outside of its aluminium body.

That lets the circlip supplied with every shock absorber be moved up or down to set the spring seat.

Setting the circlip and spring higher adds spring preload and ride height, ready for accessories or other added weight.

Lowering the circlip and spring seat sets the strut up for a lighter vehicle, for example one without a bull bar.

The MT64 and its large oil volume cope with the weight.

With a 64 mm bore, large shim stacks and an aluminium body, shock fade is a thing of the past.
