Rear shock absorber Ironman 4x4 Nitro Gas Comfort, 4" lift — Jeep Wrangler JL (12852LGRC)

Lifting a car by 4 inches changes the geometry the suspension works in, and the factory shock stops using the travel it has. 12852LGRC is a rear shock absorber by Ironman 4x4 built for a 4" lift.

Nitro Gas is a nitrogen gas-charged design. The Comfort version is meant for cars that are not permanently loaded — it favours ride comfort. Working length is 730–453 mm, eye to eye mounting.

Fitting and notes

The shock absorber is sold per piece — one axle needs two. The 730–453 mm figure is the extended and compressed length; it is worth comparing it with what is on your car, because one model often came with several suspension variants.

We fit these in our own workshop in Warsaw. While the car is apart we check the springs, bushings and top mounts — replacing shocks alone is rarely the whole job.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit a car with standard ride height?
This one is matched to a 4" lift. On a standard car it would work on the wrong part of its travel — for factory height, choose the standard version.

Comfort or Heavy Duty?
Comfort suits a car used without permanent load. If you carry a canopy, a loaded roof rack or tow a trailer, take the Heavy Duty version.

How many do I need?
Two per axle. A full set for both axles is four shocks — the front ones have a different part number.
