APEX Compact Reel System Complete Kit with Inflator and Hose

Building a reel system from scratch usually means four separate orders and one missing fitting that holds the job up for a week.

Who it is for

For anyone building an on-board air system from scratch who would rather know that the hardware matches. It also makes sense as a first purchase if you are only starting with on-board air.

Installation and notes

The manufacturer sells mounting brackets separately: a universal one and dedicated versions for the Jeep JL, JKU and Gladiator. It also explicitly forbids taking the reel apart — that damages it and voids the warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need extra fittings for the compressor?

No. The banjo bolt, the 1/4" NPT to 3/8" braided hose adapter and a length of hose to the compressor are in the kit — you only choose how long that length is.

How do the inflators differ?

In measuring range and price. The mount is included with the PTI 90 PSI and optional with the Apex Inflator 90 PSI — for the PTI 40 PSI the manufacturer does not mention one.

What does the part number X02-06-002-SET mean?

It is our own designation for the whole kit — the manufacturer gives this configuration no part number of its own. X02-06-002 on its own is the manufacturer's 35 ft reel.

Does the kit include a bracket for the reel?

No, brackets are bought separately; which versions exist is covered in the installation section.
