MetalCloak Jeep JK Wrangler 2.5" Game-Changer Suspension System (no shocks) – Jeep Wrangler JK

Kit overview – components shown (example configuration)

Key benefits

• Duroflex joints with Kevlar – self-centering joint design with a vulcanized elastomer core to absorb harshness while allowing significant movement.
• More usable travel – system layout is built for up-travel and down-travel while keeping the axle predictable.
• True Dual Rate coils – dual-rate behavior aimed at a controlled street ride and better support/articulation off-road.
• Durotrak track-bar bushings – bushing design intended to reduce NVH while keeping steering/axle location precise.
• Adjustable bump stops – tune bump-stop height without removing springs (manufacturer lists 1"–4" adjustment).
• No-shocks build – choose shocks for your weight, tire size, terrain, and budget (RockSport Black, 6Pak, Fox, or other).

What’s included

• Adjustable control arms with Duroflex joints (front/rear, upper/lower – system configuration).
• MetalCloak True Dual Rate coil springs.
• Front coil isolators.
• Front and rear track bars with Durotrak bushings.
• Rear bolt-on track-bar relocation bracket (geometry and clearance component).
• Front and rear adjustable bump stops.
• 24.5" extended brake lines.
• No-shocks version: mounting/spacer solution intended to help keep the shock aligned and reduce binding (outboard shock mount spacer concept).

Technical facts

• Duroflex: self-centering joint design with a vulcanized elastomer core; Kevlar-reinforced compound referenced by the manufacturer.
• Duroflex misalignment range: 34°.
• Manufacturer illustration compares articulation capability up to 68° (Dual Duroflex control-arm layout) vs about 40° for a clevis/flex-style reference.
• Materials table (manufacturer): control arms – DOM steel (1 1/2" x .187 and 1 5/8" x .25); coils – chrome steel; track bar – 4130 chromoly; track bar bracket – 3/16" hot rolled; isolators – thermoset elastomer; bump stops – thermoset elastomer; brake lines – braided stainless; steel parts finish – gold zinc.
• Adjustable bump stops: 1"–4" adjustment (manufacturer note).

Who it’s for

• Jeep JK builds that prioritize real articulation and axle control on technical terrain.
• Drivers who want a balanced setup for daily driving and off-road use, with compliance engineered into the joints and bushings.
• Anyone who prefers to choose shocks separately (brand, valving, reservoir, adjustability) while keeping a long-travel-ready suspension foundation.

Install / notes

• Install difficulty (manufacturer): Moderate.
• Install time (manufacturer): 6–8 hours.
• Body modifications (manufacturer): none.
• For JK 2012+: manufacturer notes possible exhaust spacer or driveshaft spacer requirement (front driveshaft clearance consideration).
• Alignment is recommended after installation by a suspension/alignment specialist.
• True Dual Rate coils: manufacturer does not recommend powder coating.

Shock selection notes (for a no-shocks kit)

• The manufacturer notes they do not test/guarantee every shock option on the market with this system—final shock choice is up to the builder.
• Examples referenced by the manufacturer include 6Pak, RockSport (including RockSport Black with compression adjustment), and Fox 2.0 as a more limited-travel option compared to long-travel solutions.
