Heavy Cruiser OFFROAD skid plate protecting the gearbox, part of the DPF and the front section of the AdBlue tank on the Toyota Hilux gen. IX "Travo" from 2026. 4 mm structural steel plate, steel red finish, bolts into factory holes with no drilling or welding. Weight 10.1 kg.
The AdBlue tank on this Hilux is plastic and hangs low under the floor. One stump is enough to leave you with an emissions fault and a vehicle that will not restart after a few cycles.
This OFFROAD line plate from Heavy Cruiser covers the gearbox, part of the DPF and the front section of the AdBlue tank and, importantly, is designed as part of a larger assembly: it joins the other HC plates for this Hilux into one continuous surface rather than acting as a separate patch.

Vehicle Toyota Hilux gen. IX Travo, 2026 onwards | Protects the gearbox, part of the DPF and the front section of the AdBlue tank | Construction 4 mm steel, 10.1 kg |
For owners of the new Hilux who actually intend to drive it off the tarmac, not just look ready for it. The factory covers on this vehicle are plastic and serve aerodynamics — the first serious contact with the ground cracks them, and what sits behind them is considerably more expensive.
The plate bolts into factory holes in the chassis — the manufacturer states plainly that no drilling or welding is needed, so the installation is reversible. It is worth fitting alongside the other Heavy Cruiser plates for this vehicle: they are designed to join into one continuous underbody shield rather than act as independent patches. Note that the product has no road homologation — it is equipment for off-road use.
Not sure which plate to start with? Tell us how you use the vehicle and we will say what takes the first hit in that kind of service.
Does fitting require drilling or welding?
No. The manufacturer states the plate bolts into factory holes in the chassis.
Will the plate make the drivetrain overheat?
The plate has additional openings intended to prevent that and to let mud clear. That is standard across the Heavy Cruiser Offroad line.
Can it be combined with the other plates?
Yes — the manufacturer designs the plates for this vehicle to form one coherent underbody shield. Ready-made sets and an Offroad package are available too.
Is the product homologated?
No. The manufacturer states plainly that it is not — it is for off-road use.
