Lightweight annex that clips into the Roof Space 4 — around 7 m² of sheltered space for 6 kg. Height is set with telescopic poles and the sides roll up so it works as an awning.
A rooftop tent gives you somewhere to sleep and leaves everything else outside: boots, the stove, wet jackets, getting changed. The Light Base adds around 7 m² of sheltered space underneath and turns the tent into a base camp rather than a bedroom.
It clips straight into the tent, weighs 6 kg and goes up in under six minutes with practice — on your own. Roll the sides up and it works as a plain canopy.

For two people who travel for more than one night. In three days of rain, the difference between a tent and a tent with an annex is the difference between sitting in the car and running a normal camp.
It also earns its place if you travel with a dog or a lot of kit — the Light Base gives you dry space below that never has to come up onto the mattress.
The annex slides into the double zip of the tent, the height is set with the telescopic poles and the whole thing is tensioned with eleven pegs. The manufacturer quotes under six minutes with practice.
Not sure whether your tent needs the adapter? Send us the serial number and we will check it for you.
How much space does it actually add?
The manufacturer states around 7 m² of sheltered area when pitched.
Can the tent be closed with the annex attached?
Yes. The manufacturer states the tent closes fully with the Light Base fitted and the annex can be stored in the case. Just keep an eye on your roof load.
Does it work with a taller vehicle?
Yes, the height is set with telescopic poles and the annex was designed for taller vehicles too.
Do I need an adapter?
Only for a Roof Space 2 with a serial number between RS230001 and RS240112. The Roof Space 4 needs none.
