MetalCloak Jeep Wrangler JL – Parts and Off-Road Accessories

MetalCloak designs complete suspension systems and durable off-road parts for the Jeep Wrangler JL, produced since 2018. The range includes products for the short-wheelbase 2-door JL and the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited JLU, including dedicated solutions for Rubicon, 4xe and 392 versions.

Individual MetalCloak components are engineered to work together as a complete system. This makes it possible to build a Wrangler suitable for everyday driving, long-distance overland travel or demanding off-road use without combining parts with incompatible suspension geometry.

MetalCloak Suspension Systems for Jeep Wrangler JL

The MetalCloak range includes suspension systems with different levels of complexity. Available options include Base Camp and True Dual Rate lift kits, complete Game-Changer systems, Rocklander overland suspension systems and advanced Long Arm configurations.

Depending on the vehicle version and intended use, lift heights from 1.5" to 5.5" are available. Lower configurations are well suited to vehicles used daily, while taller and more advanced systems allow the Wrangler to accommodate larger tyres and tackle more demanding terrain.

One of the key components used in MetalCloak suspension systems is the adjustable control arm fitted with Duroflex joints. These joints provide a wide range of movement without the binding associated with rigid designs. At the same time, they help isolate noise, vibration and harshness transferred to the body.

Adjustable control arms, Durotrak track bars, relocation brackets and geometry-correction components help restore correct suspension geometry after lifting the vehicle. The range also includes True Dual Rate springs, sway bar links, extended brake lines and HydraStrike hydraulic bump stops.

RockSport Shock Absorbers for Wrangler JL

MetalCloak suspension systems can be configured with different shock absorbers depending on the required level of control, comfort and adjustability.

The range includes RockSport RED, RockSport Slate, aluminium RockSport Silver, remote-reservoir RockSport BLACK and advanced 6Pak shock absorbers. Adjustable versions are also available, allowing the suspension characteristics to be matched to the road surface, vehicle load and driving style.

MetalCloak also offers relocation brackets, protective components and service parts for selected shock absorbers. The correct configuration depends on the lift height, axle type, engine version and weight of the additional equipment.

Heavy-Duty MetalCloak Steering Components

Larger wheels and demanding off-road driving increase the load placed on the Wrangler JL’s factory steering system. MetalCloak offers heavy-duty tie rods, drag links, Hi-Steer kits, steering knuckles, mounting components, Baller Joints and RockSport steering stabilisers.

Solutions are available for both Rubicon and non-Rubicon axles. A properly selected steering system helps maintain correct steering geometry after lifting the vehicle and fitting larger tyres.

Underbody Protection and Body Armour

MetalCloak offers comprehensive protection systems for the Jeep Wrangler JL. UnderCloak armour protects key components beneath the vehicle, while additional skid plates cover the differentials, control-arm mounts, shock mounts, crossmembers and drivetrain components.

The range also includes Overland Tube Fenders, aluminium inner fenders, ExoSkin rocker protection, rock sliders and steps. These products protect the body during off-road driving and can provide additional clearance for larger tyres.

Before choosing armour, check the body and engine version. Different components may be required for the 2-door JL, 4-door JLU, 3.6-litre petrol engine, diesel, 4xe or 392.

Bumpers, SportGate and Rack Systems

The category also includes MetalCloak front and rear bumpers designed for off-road use and the installation of additional equipment. SportGate systems reinforce the spare-wheel mounting area, while camera brackets, third brake light mounts and number plate relocation components allow the rear of the vehicle to be configured correctly.

For overland builds, MetalCloak offers Adventure Rack and Rocklander rack systems. These expand the Wrangler’s carrying capacity and make it possible to install equipment required for longer journeys.

Choosing and Installing MetalCloak Parts

The Jeep Wrangler JL is available in many configurations that differ in body style, engine, axles, suspension and factory equipment. Parts designed for a standard JL or JLU are not always compatible with the 4xe or 392.
