Teknorot JE-1001 front outer steering tie rod end for the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018 on) and Gladiator JT (2019 on). Forged steel, M14x1.5 ball pin thread, M29x1.5 housing thread, fits both left and right side. Price is per single piece — two are needed per vehicle. 24-month warranty.
A knock over bumps, play you can feel through the steering wheel and a tyre that starts wearing one edge — on the Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT the culprit is often a worn steering tie rod end. It works with every turn of the wheel and every pothole, and on a vehicle used off road it takes far more of that than on a city SUV.
The Teknorot JE-1001 is the front outer steering tie rod end that replaces factory part 68258760AE (and its earlier AA–AD revisions). Made of forged steel, it fits both the left and the right side.

For JL and Gladiator owners with play in the steering who want it gone without replacing the whole tie rod, and for workshops putting together a suspension service list. If you drive off road, on larger tyres or on wheels with a lot of offset, tie rod ends are a wear item — worth checking at every oil change.
This is a steering component, directly responsible for driving safety — have it fitted by a professional workshop, following the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions. A wheel alignment is required after replacement; without it the vehicle will pull and the tyre will wear unevenly within a few thousand kilometres. The price is for one piece — if one end has play, the other has the same mileage behind it, so in practice they are replaced in pairs. Our workshop in Warsaw carries out this replacement together with the alignment.
Not sure the tie rod end is the source of the play? Tell us what you hear and at what speeds, and we will suggest where to start.
How many do I need per vehicle?
Two — the manufacturer states two pieces per vehicle. The listed price is for one.
Is this the left or the right end?
Both. The same reference fits either side.
Does it fit the 4xe and the 392 / 6.4 version?
Yes. The catalogue lists the JL in 2.0 T-GDi, 2.2 Multijet II, 2.0 4xe and 6.4 forms.
Which factory number does it replace?
68258760AE and the earlier revisions of that number (AA, AB, AC, AD), plus 68258767AB and their K-prefixed equivalents.
Is a wheel alignment needed afterwards?
Yes. The tie rod end affects toe, so an alignment after replacement is required.
What is the warranty?
24 months.
