- Out-of-Stock
Front axle steering knuckle, left side, for the Jeep Wrangler JL from 2018. Replaces factory number 68388829AA; SRLine is Polcar’s own parts line. Sold as a single piece with a 36-month warranty.
A steering knuckle is a part nobody thinks about until it bends. And it takes only a hard hit in a pothole, a kerb strike with the wheels turned or a minor collision for the front axle geometry to stop coming back into spec — because the problem is not in the adjustment but in the casting itself. Then it has to be replaced.
This is the left front steering knuckle for the Wrangler JL, replacing factory part 68388829AA. It carries the SRLine name — Polcar’s own brand („Selected Replacement Line”), created in 2006 as a line of selected replacement parts.
| Vehicle Jeep Wrangler IV (JL), from 11.2017 | Position front axle, left side | Replaces OE 68388829AA |
The manufacturer’s catalogue lists only the Wrangler JL against this number — the Gladiator JT is not on the application list.
For workshops and JL owners after a front wheel impact that leaves the alignment out of spec, and for accident repair on the front axle. This is a part replaced for a specific reason, not as maintenance — if you are unsure whether the knuckle is bent, an alignment measurement will settle it.
Replacing a knuckle means working on the front suspension and steering, parts directly responsible for safety — have it fitted by a professional workshop, following the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions. A wheel alignment is required afterwards. While the corner is apart, it is worth inspecting the tie rod end and the joints on the same side — if the knuckle took a hit, they usually did too. The manufacturer’s data sheet does not state weight, dimensions or what else is in the box (a bearing or joints, for instance), so you will not find that here — write to us if it matters before you order and we will check with the distributor.
Need the right side, or both at once? Write to us — the right knuckle is a separate number and we can bring it in on the same order.
Is this the left or the right knuckle?
Left. The right side has its own part number and its own factory number (68388828AA).
Which factory number does it replace?
68388829AA.
Does it fit the Gladiator JT?
The manufacturer’s catalogue lists only the Wrangler JL against this number. The Gladiator is not on the application list, so we do not claim compatibility here.
Does it fit the 4xe and the 392 / 6.4?
Yes. The application list covers the JL in 2.0 T-GDi, 2.2 Multijet II, 2.0 4xe and 6.4 forms.
Is a wheel alignment needed afterwards?
Yes. The knuckle sets the wheel position, so an alignment after replacement is required.
What is the warranty?
36 months.
