Teknorot JE-382 front left steering tie rod end for the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018 on) and Gladiator JT (2019 on), fitted at the wheel end of the front axle. Forged steel, M14x1.5 ball pin thread, M29x1.5 right-hand housing thread, 328 mm overall. Replaces factory number 68258762AE. 24-month warranty.
A steering wheel that feels vague on centre, a vehicle that wanders in ruts and a knock over a speed bump — on the Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT the list of suspects is short, and the steering tie rod end sits at the top of it. It connects the tie rod to the knuckle and passes every steering input to the wheel, so any play in it shows up immediately.
The Teknorot JE-382 is the left steering tie rod end, fitted at the wheel end of the front axle. It replaces factory number 68258762AE (and the earlier AB, AC and AD revisions) and is made of forged steel.

Vehicle Jeep Wrangler JL from 2018, Gladiator JT from 2019 | Position front axle, left side, at the wheel end | Construction forged steel, M14x1.5 / M29x1.5 RH, 1.66 kg |
For JL and Gladiator owners whose inspection found play on the left side of the steering, and for workshops putting the repair together. On a vehicle driven off road, on larger tyres or with a lift, tie rod ends are a wear item — check them at every suspension service.
This is a steering component, directly responsible for driving safety — have it fitted by a professional workshop, following the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions. A wheel alignment is required afterwards, because the end affects toe. Note that the housing thread is right-hand — the direction of rotation matters when setting toe. Our workshop in Warsaw carries out this replacement together with the alignment.
Not sure which side has the play? Tell us what you hear and at what speeds, and we will suggest where to start.
Is this the left or the right end?
Left. The manufacturer lists the position as front left, and the distributor’s catalogue as the wheel end of the front axle.
How many do I need?
The manufacturer states one piece per vehicle. The listed price is for one.
Does it fit the 4xe and the 392 / 6.4 version?
Yes. The catalogue lists the JL in 2.0 T-GDi, 2.2 Multijet II, 2.0 4xe and 6.4 forms.
Which factory number does it replace?
68258762AE and the earlier revisions of that number (AB, AC, AD), plus their K-prefixed equivalents.
Is a wheel alignment needed afterwards?
Yes — the tie rod end affects toe, so an alignment after replacement is required.
What is the warranty?
24 months.
